Whippets

Whippets

Whippets is a common name for nitrous oxide gas. Nitrous Oxide is an anesthetic gas that most people associate with dentistry. Many whipped cream containers use Nitrous Oxide as a preservative and propellant, allowing users to siphon out and inhale the gas. It can also be found in small aluminum cylinders similar to a CO2 cartridge.
